I will be hula-hooping at the 2011 Strawberry Festival at Walter Elisha Park on Saturday, May 7th, at 11:00 am.
Come out and see some of the best local talent compete for their chance at superstardom during the Texaco Country Showdown, presented by WRHI and Interstate 107. Visit Piedmont Medical Center’s Healthy Hometown for free health screenings and tips about healthy living (including of course hula-hooping to stay fit).
See if you have what it takes to “Berry the Competition” in the recipe contest, or test your appetite by trying your luck in one of the strawberry pie or ice cream eating contests.
A variety of family friendly activities, including kids’ rides, pig races, a petting zoo, and face painting will be available in the Kids Zone, presented by the Rock Hill Coca-Cola Bottling Company. Arts and crafts and food vendors will be on hand throughout the day, and the Strawberry Jam will continue throughout the day and into the night. At 8:45 pm, the festival go out with a bang as a spectacular fireworks display presented by Comporium lights up the Fort Mill sky.
